Horse Park This large park was
created for the 1996 Olympic games. It is now used for many types of recreational
activities. Hiking, Biking, Equestrian, and much, much more!
Bonner Park, located on Rowland Road, features a pavilion with picnic tables
& grill, children's playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, on-site parking and
a wooded creek that's perfect for nature walks.
Eastview Playground, located on Eastview Road, offers children's play
equipment like swings, monkey bars, a basketball court, and wide open green space for
games of frisbee or picnics with the family.
Pleasant Circle Park located on Pleasant Circle features a
basketball court, swings, a merry-go-round and a slide. Pleasant Circle Park is the
perfect place for the kids to wind down after school.
Veal Street Park is located on Veal Street, and it offers basketball courts,
swings, a merry-go-round, a wooded creek for nature walks and open green space for
picnics.
The Lewis-Vaughn Botanical Garden is located adjacent to the
Downtown Pavilion on Commercial Street in Downtown Conyers. This unique park features a
wide variety of native and indigenous plants, a fountain and stream with goldfish and pond
bloomers. The stream is fed by the original Conyers water tower. Restroom facilities and
an open-air pavilion round out the amenities at this location.
Center Point Park, located at the corner of Center and Green Streets home of
the 1905 Rogers steam locomotive known as "The Dinky." The Dinky is one of only
three locomotives of its kind in the world. It was once used to transport cotton from the
Depot in Conyers to the mills in neighboring Milstead. It is now permanently parked on the
siderails across from the Depot in Center Point Park.
